5 key questions

Questions I will ask people about my work:

1.Does my top 10 fit within the feel of my animation?

2. Does it matter that I haven't included a lot of typography even though this is what my top 10 is?

3. Does my research show development towards my final pieces? (in progress)

4. Is black and white enough? Do I need colour for it to work better?

5. What would make a good background for my DVD menu?

  1. 1. Yes but you do need to bring typography in at some point. I really like the shape of it all so far, but the audience would potensially be graphic deisgners or typographers so needs to appeal to them a little more. Even if the word subtaly comes in at the end faintly, it still relates. I am very keen on these slow transitions of lines. You may just need to enfasise the more femanine typography based top ten though, if thats the angle you are going for.
    2. No but needs it at some point. Maybe let it tell a story much like your'e program would do. You could have the line progression more and more perhaps to similar shapes of the typography through the years. you have already done work along the typography line so might as well enfasise it.
    3. Yes. More of a range of moveing image techniques are need though. Try different movement? or different colour? although at this point you need to focus on youre final deisgn, you also need to show a little more of a range of youre work. Trial and error is the best way to show this sometimes.
    4. White and black looks good. The scale may need to change though, beacuse there is a lot of white and you will effectivly be presenting this on a big screen. Layering could help this fatcor, bigger type in the background?
    5. Sequences from the animation you have already done.... or lead into a close up? then zoom out to the menu sequence? Keep it simple and related so again.. make sure there's some type somewhere too. x
